When should I start making reservations?
We advise you to make your seat reservations as early as possible, especially if you plan to travel from June to September and on weekends.
Many high-speed and night trains can already be reserved from 3 months in advance and will get fully booked in that period. Please note that seat reservations are mandatory for Eurostar and international TGV trains, and they have limited seats available for Interrail Pass holders which tend to sell out quickly.
As booking windows vary for different Eurostar train routes, the best way to find out how long in advance your train can be booked is to check our timetable. You can also check if seats are left for Pass holders before purchasing a Pass using these alternative options.

Alternative trains
If a train is fully booked, use the Interrail timetable to find another train. To find alternatives that don't require seat reservations, make sure to select the 'No reservation needed' box under filters when searching for trains. You can also use our Rail Planner app to search for trains on a mobile device.
Change of currency
You cannot change the currency once you have a Pass in your cart. Remove the Pass, and then change the currency on the website header.
